“One shot, one kill” is the new motto of the Army sniper. However, for soldiers qualifying in Basic Rifle Marksmanship, this rule may no longer be applicable. Thus, the Basic Combat Training Soldiers of 2nd Battalion, 39th Infantry Brigade, are testing a new way of qualification. The method is a combinations of battlefield elements - concealment, movement, civilian presence and using multiple rounds on an enemy. The reason behind this new standard is to ensure that soldiers are more combat focused. It will provide them the necessary skills for modern-day battlefield setting.
